3 Reasons You Should Be A Maltz Museum Member

3 Reasons You Should Be A MemberCrowds are already turning out for Violins of Hope, our multisensory exhibition sharing the moving stories behind 19 violins that survived the Holocaust. In the coming months we have a calendar packed with film screenings, lectures, plays, concerts and another amazing original, world premiere exhibition (Operation Finale: The Capture & Trial of Adolf Eichmann opening February 11, 2016). Now is the perfect time to become a Member. Why? Well, in addition to saving on all these programs, here are three more reasons to join:

  1. Members of the Maltz Museum make things happen. Strongly sharing the values of the Maltz Museum, their support and commitment to our mission fosters connections among diverse groups and enables others—including students from school districts in need—to experience the galleries, special exhibitions and programs we offer.
  2. We have fun insider events and discounts! For example, right now all Maltz Museum Members can receive a discount to The Investigation, a Cesear’s Forum production of a play that incorporates actual Auschwitz survivor testimony. And there’s also a $3 discount available for a GroundWorks DanceTheater world premiere by David Shimotakahara and featuring new music by Israeli composer Oded Zehavi. Both are part of the community-wide Violins of Hope Cleveland collaboration.
  3. You can bring a good friend or someone in your family to visit for free. At every level of support, Members receive one-time use guest passes. If you travel frequently, the Friend membership level ($150) gives you access to the North American Reciprocal Museum Association and the Council of American Jewish Museums, meaning you can use your Maltz Museum membership card to gain access to cultural attractions across the country.

Already a Maltz Museum Member? Consider giving a Membership as a holiday gift or to celebrate a lifecycle event. If you have questions and its other benefits (a 10% discount in the Museum Store, free admission throughout the year, Members-only receptions and tours), don’t hesitate to contact me at 216.593.0583 or hjohnson@mmjh.org.

Look forward to seeing you at the Museum soon!
