Are you interested in making a difference in the community and educating our future leaders? The Maltz Museum is currently seeking outgoing, curious, and friendly individuals to join our community of volunteer docents. Guiding tours is enriching and educational- a creative way to continue lifelong learning while supporting the Museum’s work.
At the Maltz Museum, docents facilitate learning and interpretation of themes within the core collections and special exhibits. They enable visitors to understand the exhibits by giving them the tools to make sense of the objects they see. Docents also lead conversation and activities that create a deeper understanding and engagement with the exhibitions’ themes and the museum’s overall mission. They are the main hosts and ambassadors of the museum.
Share your knowledge of Cleveland history, art history, diversity and Judaism. Help us grow and expand our community while learning and interacting with fellow volunteers! Docents are diverse in age, background, race and religion.
Training begins in July, please reach out to Aaron Bane at 216.593.0587 or wbane@mmjh.org
