Stories that Endure: Understanding the Past Through Personal Diaries — Part of the National Library of Israel USA Signature Speakers Series

Tuesday, February 13, 1:00 pm.
Virtual Program
Free with registration.

Join Matan Barzilai, Head of Archives and Special Collections at the National Library of Israel (NLI), and Adina Kanefield, CEO of NLI USA, as they reflect on how personal diaries reveal nuances in our historical record. Barzilai will share moving stories written at the time of the founding of the State of Israel and will share the Library’s current work documenting and preserving accounts of the war with Hamas. Inspired by the expanded view of 21st-century libraries as centers of lively discourse, NLI USA developed the Signature Speakers Series to probe issues of our day.
