May 1 – Now is the time to visit the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage! By Congressional resolution and Presidential proclamation, the month of May is Jewish American Heritage Month, and the Maltz Museum is the place to celebrate the more than 350-year history of Jewish contributions to American culture. This year’s theme, American Jews in Entertainment, is exemplified in the Museum’s own permanent collection, An American Story, featuring the short film Wonderland to the Palace – narrated by the Jewish entertainer, and Clevelander, Joel Grey. There is much more happening this May at the Maltz, celebrating and honoring Jews and non-Jews that have helped weave the fabric of history, culture and society. Visit our Happenings page for a list of everything happening this month.
