Renowned American composer Jake Heggie’s visceral opera Two Remain is based on the true stories of Holocaust survivors and their reflections from their time in the Auschwitz concentration camp during WWII. The stories of Krystyna Zywulska, a Polish dissident, and Gad Beck, a Jewish gay man, act as reminders of the horrific pain of the Holocaust and the enduring power of love and humanity.
