Held at Mandel Jewish Community Center
(26001 South Woodland, Beachwood OH 44122)

Co-produced with Interplay Jewish Theatre and the Mandel JCC, with generous support from The Cleveland-Israel Arts Connection of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, honoring Israel’s 75th anniversary.

A group of storytellers recreate one day in the life of a young Israeli musician/composer currently living in Amsterdam. The morning mail has brought her an overdue gas bill dating back to 1944. The actors will speculate what might have taken place 70 years earlier, in the woman’s rented flat. In an environment where antisemitism, xenophobia and alienation linger to this day, performers tap into what it means to be an outsider – and what it takes to feel safe in a hostile world.
