Aaron David Miller is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, focusing on U.S. foreign policy and a former U.S. State Department Middle East analyst and negotiator in Republican and Democratic administrations. He has written five books, including his most recent, The End of Greatness: Why America Can’t Have (and Doesn’t Want) Another Great President (Palgrave, 2014) and The Much Too Promised Land: America’s Elusive Search for Arab-Israeli Peace (Bantam, 2008). He received his PhD in Middle East and U.S. diplomatic history from the University of Michigan in 1977.

Avidan Cover is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor of Law, and Director of the Institute for Global Security Law & Policy at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Cover currently teaches International Law; International Human Rights Law; and a Race, Law and Society seminar. Cover’s scholarship focuses on human rights, civil rights and national security law. He has appeared in numerous news media, including The New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN, FOX News and Court TV.
