Free Admission to Maltz Museum in April Supported by Ohio Holocaust & Genocide Memorial & Education Commission

In honor of Genocide Awareness Month, the Ohio Holocaust and Genocide Memorial and Education Commission (OHGMEC) will sponsor free general admission to the Maltz Museum throughout April 2024.

The Maltz Museum, located in Beachwood, is currently featuring the renowned traveling exhibition, The Girl in the Diary: Searching for Rywka from the Łódz Ghetto,” a stirring portrayal of resilience amidst tragedy. The exhibition presents the impactful story of Rywka Lipszyc, a young girl who lost her family during the Holocaust, but never lost hope, on display through April 28, 2024.

“During Genocide Awareness Month, we remember all those who have been lost to the atrocities of genocide,” said Andrea Brookover, OHGMEC Executive Director. “The Girl in the Diary provides just one of many testimonies that exemplify the lived experience of genocide, and we want to provide all Ohioans with the opportunity to learn from Rywka’s story.”

Genocide Awareness Month stands as a reminder to reflect, remember, and advocate for a more compassionate world. Join us in this vital initiative to promote understanding and empathy by planning your visit today at maltzmuseum.org.

Free General Admission offer excludes docent-guided group tours.
